What we do with your details

Who is responsible

Acquabuddy Ltd (company number 17439266, 40 Tenth Street, Blackhall Colliery, Hartlepool TS27 4LY) is the data controller. Questions about your data: info@acquabuddy.com.

What we collect, and why

• When you ask for a quote: your name, email address, phone number, delivery postcode and what you asked about. We use these to answer you and to price delivery. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract.
• When you buy: your delivery address and the details of your order. We use these to deliver the tank, honour the warranty and keep the accounting records the law requires. Legal basis: performing the contract, and our legal obligations.
• Payments: card payments are taken by Stripe on their own secure pages. Stripe sends us confirmation that you paid, the last four digits of the card and the name on it. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy notice is at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
• Delivery: your name, address and phone number go to the pallet carrier so they can arrange the delivery day with you.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
• We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked for them, and you can stop them at any time by replying "stop".
• This website sets no cookies of its own and does not run advertising or analytics trackers. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when the page loads.

How long we keep it

Quote enquiries that do not become orders are deleted after 12 months. Order records are kept for 6 years after the sale, because HMRC requires it and because the warranty runs for 5 years.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@acquabuddy.com and we answer within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
